A890-CD3MN American Standard ball valve is a type of floating ball valve. Its design and manufacturing standards are mainly based on the following three specifications: “API 6D-2014 Pipeline and Pipeline Valve Specification”, “API 608-2008 Metal Ball Valves with Flanges, Threads and Welded Connections”, and “ASME B16.34-2013 Valves with Flanges, Threads and Welded Ends”. The flange dimensions of this type of floating ball valve are ASME B16.5, ASME B16.47, ANSI B16.5, etc.
A890-CD3MN American Standard ball valve is mainly divided into soft seal and hard seal according to the different sealing materials. The general seat seal of the soft seal ball valve is manufactured with PTFE, RPTFE, PPL, PEEK, Daikin M111 and nylon. The hard seal adopts the ball seat sprayed with STL, Ni60, WC, WCr and other alloys. The valve body material can be selected from duplex steel CD3MN.
A890-CD3MN American standard ball valve has a simple structure, convenient maintenance and a wide range of applications. It is mainly used in pipelines to cut off, distribute and change the flow direction of the medium. The sealing surface and the spherical surface are often in a closed state and are not easily eroded by the medium. The valve mainly uses a sphere with a circular channel as an opening and closing part. The opening and closing part is a sphere with a hole that rotates around the axis perpendicular to the channel to achieve the purpose of opening and closing the channel.
CD3MN is a duplex steel for casting, mainly composed of elements such as chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), nitrogen (N), and a certain amount of carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S). The most notable feature of this type of metal is its duplex structure, that is, the material contains two phases of austenite and ferrite at the same time. The austenite phase provides excellent toughness and processability, while the ferrite phase enhances the strength and corrosion resistance of the material. The existence of this dual-phase structure enables CD3MN material to maintain high strength while also having good plasticity and toughness.
