The TA10 forged steel ball valve is a full-bore ball valve. The valve is opened or closed by rotating the valve stem at a 90-degree angle. According to the different application pressures, it can be divided into low-pressure forged steel ball valves and high-pressure forged steel ball valves. This type of ball valve is small in size, light, simple in structure, reliable in sealing, and the medium flows in one direction according to the arrow marked on the valve body. The parts are interchangeable, and the later maintenance is convenient and easy, and the maintenance cost is low.
Compared with the casting ball valve,
the TA10 forged steel ball valve is relatively more compact, and there are no problems such as sand holes, bubbles, and looseness. And due to the influence of the forging process, the valve is usually not formed at one time, and needs to be modularly forged separately, and then connected together by bolts, nuts or welding. Therefore, the production caliber will have certain limitations. The valve seat diameter of the forged valve is relatively fixed. In some valve sizes, its diameter is relatively small, which affects the flow rate. If a large valve needs to be forged, due to the limitations of the forging process of large valves, the structure of the valve body center casting and forging at both ends is usually adopted. Therefore, whether it is a casting or a forging, there may be corresponding shortcomings in the processing process that need to be overcome technically.
TA10 forged steel ball valve is produced by forging TA10 titanium alloy. TA10 is a corrosion-resistant titanium alloy. It is a near-α alloy developed to improve the crevice corrosion performance of pure titanium. Nickel improves the crevice corrosion resistance of titanium in hydrochloric acid solution. The alloy contains 0.3% Mo and 0.8% Ni (Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni). In reducing acid, molybdenum can be appropriately added to improve its corrosion resistance in reducing media.
