ASTM A494 M35-1 Ball Valve,PN16,DN50,Flange End
Alloy M35-1 duplex Ball Valve has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, and useful resistance to pitting. It has a high yield strength that can be typically 25% – 50% greater than conventional austenitic stainless steel.

ASTM A494 M35-1 ball soupape
Your specified soupape is technically plausible, but several details must be confirmed avant approving it pour procurement.
1. Matériel et standards verification

ASTM identifies A494/A494M as the spécification pour nickel et nickel-alloy castings intended pour corrosion-resistant service. M35-1 composition data are also published in foundry technical references.
2. Critical points to resolve
-
Pression rating: PN16 alone does not prove that the completed soupape is suitable pour 16 bar at your operating temperature. Obtain the manufacturer’s pressure-temperature rating.
-
Bride compatibility: Confirm whether the flanges must comply with FR 1092-1 PN16, another standard, or a project-specific requirement. Check dimensions, facing, et drilling.
-
Wetted materials: Specify the body, ball, stem, et other pressure-containing or wetted parts separately. Do not assume all components are M35-1.
-
Siège et packing: Select PTFE, reinforced PTFE, or another suitable material according to fluid compatibility, temperature, et leakage requirements.
-
Essai et documentation: Require pressure-test reports, material certificates, et traceability appropriate to the project.
Important: Corrosion resistance is medium-specific. Before approving M35-1, confirm the actual fluid, concentration, temperature, et any contaminants. Matériel selection should be based on those conditions rather than the alloy name alone.
