3 PC ball valve type has three pieces, a body, and two end caps. They are connected to pipe ends either by welding, threading or with flanges. The quarter turn design handle can be turn 90 degree to open or close the valve. The locking device work as a locking mechanism on handle to avoid it be turn when it lock in open position or close position. It helps avoid line shutdown during maintenance in systems and work as separators of valve connection port from the body. Full bore type ball valve is where the bore is same size as the internal diameter of pipe. The available material for 3PC ball valve is stainless steel SS316 and come with PTFE sealing.
