The 904L  ball valve is suitable for various concentrations of sulfuric acid below 70C, and has excellent corrosion resistance under atmospheric pressure to any concentration and temperature of acetic acid and a mixture of formic acid and acetic acid.

Brand and standard:
UNS N08904 (a standard jointly designed by the American Society of Automotive Engineers and the American Society for Testing and Materials in 1967), DIN1.4539 (a German standard), ASTM A240 (an American Society for Testing and Materials standard; the new standard classifies it as a stainless steel series, while the original standard ASME SB-625 classifies it as a nickel based alloy series), and SUS890L.

The application of 904L in the field of water treatment equipment, such as filters, reverse osmosis membranes and other components, can improve water quality and treatment efficiency. The specific chemical composition of 904L is: C: ≤ 0.02, Si: ≤ 1.00, Mn: ≤ 2.00, P: ≤ 0.045, S: ≤ 0.035, Cr: 19.00-23.00, Ni: 23.00-28.00, Mo: 4.00-5.00. 904L exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in certain extreme environments, such as high salinity, acidic or alkaline media
904L has good resistance to high-temperature salt corrosion and can maintain good stability and corrosion resistance in high-temperature salt environments. Mechanical properties of 904L: tensile strength 490 MPa, yield strength 215 MPa, elongation 35%. 904L can change its properties through heat treatment, such as annealing, solution treatment, etc., to improve its strength, toughness, or corrosion resistance

The 904L ball valve is a two piece split valve body structure, with the middle flange connected by bolts and the sealing surface made of polytetrafluoroethylene. The polytetrafluoroethylene sealing gasket is embedded into the stainless steel ring to ensure that the valve body is tightly attached to the ball and maintain sealing. A spring is installed between the ball, valve stem, and valve body. The valve stem is perforated and connected to a small steel ball and spring, forming an anti-static structure to release static electricity generated when opening and closing the valve. There is no PTFE bearing, reducing friction and labor-saving operation. The valve seat is equipped with a fireproof structure. In the event of damage to the PTFE seal caused by a fire, a metal to metal seal can still be formed between the fireproof groove and the ball to prevent medium leakage. The ball valve is a full bore structure, and the flow rate through the valve aperture is consistent with the flow rate of the pipeline inner diameter, which is convenient for later cleaning and maintenance.
